Ecuador has 448 species of amphibians and it is located as third in the world in diversity of this group.
The spineless animals, in front of the vertebrates, are a much more diverse but less more well-known group of animals as much in the Ecuador as in the rest of the world.
They exist approximately in the entire world 10.000 species of birds, of those which approximately a third is in South America and 1.616 in the Ecuador.
Ecuador is the ninth country with more species of mammals, alone as endemic 38 species have been described.
Ecuador with 397 species is located in the seventh place of the world with more biodiversity of reptiles in the world.
In the Ecuador they are the most diverse group of vertebrates after the birds, because they have registered near 1.340 species.
