ITINERARY (Subject To Change)

Day 1 – Baltra – Seymoure Norte

We will begin this unforgettable experience by taking the flight to Galapagos, towards Baltra Island, where after having made a short trip to the port, you will begin your cruise aboard the Galapagos Legend Yacht. We will visit North Seymour Island, which is known for its frigates and its intense courtship rituals. The island is also inhabited by other kinds of seagulls and blue-footed boobies, as well as its endemic black lizards and sea lions that inhabit the banks.

Day 2 – Martes: Santa Cruz (Cerro Dragón o Venice) – Floreana (Punta Cormorán)

Option 1: Early in the morning, after a wet landing on Dragon Hill, passengers will walk to a hyper saline lagoon that is located behind the beach. Some observers have reported that on some occasions a large number of pink flamingos have been seen in this area. This path will take you through a bizarre forest of Scalesia, towards the Dragon Hill, which offers a beautiful view of the bay. This area is a nesting site for land iguanas, thanks to the Charles Darwin Research Station.

Option 2: Passengers will have the option to take a boat ride on the Venice Islet, and they will be able to observe a diverse vegetation and marine animals such as: golden manta rays, mullets, sharks and turtles, which rest in the calm waters of the coves and canals .

In the afternoon we will make our descent on the beach of Floreana, where we will make a walk along an easily accessible path to the black mangroves. To get to this site we must surround a brackish lagoon, a natural habitat of the flamingos in the Galapagos. The island is best known for its endemic plants, such as: the Galapagos mill, the passion flower and the only mangrove button. Those newbies in snorkeling can practice at the back of the main beach, where playful sea lions have fun; and you can also discover the waters surrounding the Devil’s Crown. We remind you that this last activity is done in open water, so there are no places to stand.

Day 3 – Española (Punta Suárez) - San Cristóbal (La Galapaguera)

Punta Suárez is one of the most obvious wildlife sites, given its long list of species found along its cliffs or granulated sand beaches. In addition to five species that usually come to nest in these territories, there are curious mocking or mockingbirds, pigeons and seagulls. The albatross is the most predominant bird on this island, since about 15,000 of them nest here, being the largest colony in the world. Various types of reptiles, including the bright and colorful marine iguanas and large lizards, typical of this island. When the swell begins to increase, Punta Suárez is also the site of a spectacular blizzard reaching to spray up to almost 30 meters around. At the end of this excursion the passengers will visit the famous blowhole, where the water is shot in the air at almost 23 meters. Disembarkation in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. In this small and attractive port, passengers can visit the turtle breeding center, where they will understand the adaptation of these animals to the tropical dry environment, thanks to the efforts of the Galapagos National Park, especially towards the endemic species: Geochelone elephantopus Chatamensis.

Day 4 – Jueves: Punta Carrión - Baltra

In Punta Carrión you can snorkel and see a wide variety of fish, rays and with some luck also harmless sharks. From Punta Carrión a short journey takes you in the panga over turquoise waters along the Itabaca canal back to the Legend.

Passenger disembarkation: Finally, glad to have shared with the passengers pleasant experiences, we will return to the Galapagos Legend, check out and transfer it to Baltra airport. Flight back to Quito via Guayaquil.

Return flight to Quito or Guayaquil.
